Introducing Community Based Investment

If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together, but how do you know that you're heading in the right direction?

At 150 E Robinson, our approach to community-based investing is how we know.

First, why is community-based investing better?

When we talk about investing the first thought that enters people's mind usually is either returns or risks. Which enters the mind first is less important. Take mutual funds for instance. They minimize risk by spreading it across assets and people. Solo investing on the other hand, is on the opposite end of the risk spectrum. Community based investing offers the flexibility and convenience of investing alone, with the strength and stability that are typically offered by mutual funds, while giving direct and unparalleled access to the community's decisions. To put matters in perspective, when investing in a community-based opportunity, members of that community have direct access and influence over the direction of their investment. This is a feature that is absent from mutual funds and can only be harnessed by investing in small private partnerships or as soles. Members of a community are also able to spread the risk and, combine their individual resources, together with the resources of peer members. This feature is typically exclusive to mutual funds and similar investment products.

Second, what is community-based investing?

At 150 E Robinson, we develop a plan and present it to our community of investors as an opportunity. Each plan outlines, the timeline, financials, and activities that we have identified as necessary to reach our target. Our community of investors are then able to choose from a list of Planned Opportunity Developments or PODs. Each POD is then assigned a directly responsible executive who is accountable for the plan. Through our unique technology, members are able to work with one of our planning and development advisors to identify the ideal POD for them to join.

Third, how does it work?

There are 4 stages to community-based investing.

  1. Onboarding

  2. Contribution

  3. Distribution

  4. Exit

Every POD is formed with a plan and is managed by a directly accountable individual. This individual is charged with producing a plan for each stage. The plan provides, for each member, and at all times, the details they need on who to contact, and how to access information about their POD.

The POD's directly accountable individual will serve as the single point of information for each POD member through the 4 stages.

Onboarding: During this stage, the community manager will collect all the necessary information from the prospective member. They will work closely together to understand the prospective member's objectives and identify the ideal PODs to meet them.

Contribution: During this stage, the community manager, the new member and the POD accountable individual work together to ensure a smooth transition from prospective to active membership into the POD. In this stage, all contracts and funds are executed and transacted.

Distribution: This is the stage where the community, the POD and the 150 E Robinson technology work together to generate stable and predictable returns for the members. The returns are distributed to each member according to the instructions and schedule they choose.

Exiting: The final stage is the exit stage. During this stage, each member has the freedom to exit the POD or the community whenever they choose to. The community manager and the PODs in which a member has joined will work with each member to facilitate a smooth exit if and when one is needed.

Fourth, where are these communities and PODs physically located?

To best answer this question, it helps to split it into 2.

a) Where are these communities? The communities are made up of the individual members who share a similar understanding and objectives. Our members are located around the globe.

b) The PODs, the community managers, and the POD accountable individual are all US based as of this time.

Fifth, who is involved?

To best way to describe who is involved in our community is to shed some light on the 3 groups of people that are central to the concept.

Our Leadership: 150 E Robinson, LLC is a Florida registered company with more than 150 years of collective experience in commercial and residential real estate, capital markets and technology.

Our Experts: To maximize the ROI and minimize risk, we have partnered with a panel of local, regional, and national experts to gather market insights, government and regulatory updates, and economic development data.

Our Members: Finally, our community is as strong as the support and commitment of our members to the mission we've begun together. Our member retention rate is well above 90% and we have doubled in size each year for the last 3 years.

Sixth, when is the best time to join a community or a POD?

The simplest answer is, when you're ready. Community-based investing is a year-round model and using our onboarding process, we ensure that whenever you decide the time is right to participate, we will work with you to make the process seamless and efficient.
